Bio
Dr. Ryan Woosley is Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Center for Sustainability Science and Strategy and a marine physical chemist who specializes in the marine inorganic carbon cycle and ocean acidification. Most of his research focuses on quantifying where and how much anthropogenic CO2 the oceans have taken up over the last several decades. He also works to improve the precision and accuracy of carbon and pH measurements in the ocean. Ryan Received his B.S. in Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. from the University of Miami. He was a post-doc and assistant scientist at the University of Miami before starting work at MIT.
